Rebel Wilson Accused in Court of Attempting to Portray Actor as ‘Money Grabbing Opportunist’ as Defamation Trial Begins

Rebel Wilson is facing accusations in court, with claims that she hired a private investigator and disseminated false information online. The goal, prosecutors allege, was to paint another actor as a “money grabbing opportunist” who purportedly dropped a sexual harassment claim for financial benefit.

However, legal representatives for Wilson contend that the harassment complaint was only withdrawn after Charlotte MacInnes, the star of Wilson’s film “The Deb,” chose to support the woman who had allegedly harassed her.
