Can Married at First Sight Ever Be Risk-Free?

While many participants on the reality show ‘Married at First Sight’ report positive experiences, others voice concerns about the format’s inherent safety. Adrian Sanderson, after a demanding day of filming where he met and married a stranger, recalls a profound sense of isolation and bewilderment when the cameras stopped rolling and he was left with his new spouse at 1 a.m. “Honestly, I’ll never ever forget that feeling – it was so difficult,” he shares. “When those producers leave you and you’re, like: ‘I’m alone – I don’t get this. How is this about to happen?’ It would be daunting for anyone. You’re exhausted by this time.”
