The chief executive of the UK’s Royal Ballet and Opera has extended thanks to Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet. This gratitude stems from an unintentional surge in ticket sales and audience interest, prompted by Chalamet’s prominent remarks about ballet and opera last month.
During the promotion of his critically acclaimed film “Marty Supreme” in March, the actor voiced his relief at pursuing a career in cinema. He contrasted this with opera and ballet, humorously suggesting that practitioners in these fields might feel the pressure to “keep this thing alive, even though like no one cares about this any more.”
