'AI Slop': Low-Quality AI Content Overruns YouTube Kids, Experts Worried

Imagine a child watching a Cocomelon episode. Once it concludes, YouTube's algorithm takes over, and alarmingly, nearly 40% of the subsequent recommendations are low-quality AI-generated content. These often include animations where on-screen letters don't match the audio, or songs with distorted and nonsensical lyrics. Experts are raising significant concerns about the impact of this "AI slop" on children's development and the integrity of content platforms.
