The Sansevero Chapel Museum in Naples is set to host a groundbreaking initiative, allowing visually impaired visitors to experience its celebrated art collection through touch. On March 17th, a special day of guided tours, aptly named "La meraviglia a portata di mano" (Wonder within reach), will provide approximately 80 blind and partially sighted individuals with the extraordinary opportunity to feel the museum's renowned marble sculptures. This includes the iconic Veiled Christ, widely considered one of the most striking masterpieces in the history of sculpture. Organized in partnership with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Naples, this rare tactile experience aims to make these magnificent artworks accessible in a profoundly sensory and direct way.
